About this project

This project involved the full-depth reconstruction of the 3.6km Igbeba / Yidi Road corridor, expanded to an 8.0m-wide asphalt carriageway engineered to resolve severe regional flooding and withstand severe hydrologic demands.The core of the facility features a 3.6km alignment with an 8.0m-wide asphalt concrete surface, optimized for restored structural capacity and improved local traffic flow. To ensure long-term structural integrity and protect the road sub-base from water stagnation, complex subterranean urban excavation and structural concrete casting were executed to install an integrated network of continuous line drains.Ground stabilization and severe flood mitigation were managed through heavy hydraulic engineering, highlighted by an 800m, high-capacity underground box canal ($3.0\text{m} \times 3.0\text{m}$) vital for collecting, storing, and channeling major stormwater discharges safely away from urban surroundings. Regional logistics and urban transit are facilitated by a durable asphalt roadway network built over the primary outfall canal, specifically designed to handle active urban traffic while delivering long-term flood resilience.
